Turner, as he is known on stage, has captured the imagination of this twin-island republic and all those within earshot beyond its borders. His runaway hit single is greeted in every club, bar, rum shop and sports day with equal enthusiasm.
Still, there is much more to him than his seemingly overnight success. A look behind his affable persona and party ready vocals reveals a painful past. Homeless at a young age, the 27-year-old performer has had to overcome massive odds to be where he is today.
“My life has not been the easiest, but I try at all times not to dwell on it. Sometimes our circumstances can change us for the better or for the worse. I give all thanks and glory to the Father for bringing me to the place I am at now,” a thankful Turner told the Sunday Mix
